Video

Although we all now take digital photography for granted, it wasn’t always this way. I started shooting motor shows on a 3-megapixel  DSLR way back in 2001 and was amongst the early adopters of this new format. It took another six years for some magazines to fully accept digital.

Later that year I shot the first video for Evo magazine on its Car of the Year issue – with no decent internet streaming at the time, it was offered as a cover DVD. Now video streaming is everywhere and in many ways it has been a greater revolution than digital photography.

So alongside the stills work that we carry out for manufacturers and magazines, we also shoot and edit HDV footage for streaming and broadcast. For a number of major International car launches that we’ve supported we have been able to shoot and edit a press video on site and supply it to the attending media as they arrive. Within hours of the event starting, on-location video of the new product is appearing on websites all over the Globe. Whatever next?
